C-clamp welding pliers, designed to be used as a shunting clamp to provide a current path between two panels that have been coated with a non-conductive corrosion resistant coating during the spot welding process (STRSW). By carrying the current through the clamp and around the panels, the corrosion resistant coating does not have to be removed on the inner surfaces of the spot weld, creating a stronger and longer lasting weld.
Allows the spot welding of E-coat steel without removing the E-coat.
Simply remove just the E-coat from the outer surfaces. Speeds up the repair process of E-coated steels.
The shunting clamps enable the electrical current to flow from one side to the other ensuring a good, even weld.
Overall length: 280mm; reach: 80mm; width: 85mm.
Manufactured from chrome molybdenum, with chrome vanadium jaws.
