Polycarbonate is a superb material for microwave cookware. It is tough, non-stick, odour resistant and non-staining. Unlike glass and ceramics, it is almost completely transparent to microwaves and therefore food cooks faster and more evenly. As it has an extremely low thermal conductivity, it also stays much cooler than glass and ceramics. The first microwave egg poacher designed to cook eggs in water to give traditional taste and texture. Wash in hot soapy water before use. Dishwasher safe.
