The universal gas detector (also called anaesthetic gas detector) automatically turns on when the night alarm is turned on. The universal gas detector must be connected to a constant 12V power supply. If you have the universal gas detector installed, do not turn on the night alarm before actually going to bed. An active universal gas detector may give false alarms from a variety of different gases such as alcohol debris and perfume.
